http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/08/04/world/main4320602.shtmlIndustry or Heritage, who is right? Can they co-exist? Natives say "We were here first!" Farmers say "So? What are you going to do about it?" Natives attack them. Survival of the fittest. If the rice farmers can't keep what they claim, then claim should fall upon those who originally had it. It sounds like the government's reaction was similar by their moving the farmers out. If the government turns around and sides with the farmers... well... the farmers just got more "fit".

It's a territorial dispute. There's no such thing as justice. It's fairly primal.

That what it sounds like at first glance. It sounds like the government isn't too terribly involved so it's going back one side versus another with no governing body saying who's right and who's wrong. But that they sided with the natives, I'm not sure how true that is. I really shouldn't speak on the matter knowing how little I know.

The concept of owning land is bollocks. We as humans follow the same territorial principles as other animals. We just have fun little shiny maps with lines on them. It beats running around pissing on trees to mark the boundaries.

Justice is an invention that enables certain institutions -- i.e. police, military, the court -- to bind the body, mind, spirit.

And this is why humanity is something to be overcome. At the heart of it all we're still just monkeys doing monkey things, even if we have elaborate explanations and justifications for our "just war" and "limited surgical strike". No. Monkeys are smart enough not to overpopulate the world. We're a cross between monkeys and a virus.

In regards to Dick, there is no such thing as justice, as Socrates proved oO Suffers from the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency — nay — the very existence of George W. Bush
