Before I begin posting the results of the wave of admin apps I want everyone who posted to realize the admin staff vote soley on the purpose of seeing if we need the extra help around. So please I ask don't be discouraged if your poll did not pull through, its nothing personal so don't think we hate you, just please keep an open mind. The admin staff always fluxuates. Now the time that some of you have been waiting for..... and again don't feel bad if it doesn't go your way, and yes I still love you all. Lead Salad - Sorry poll did not go through Magic Anchovies - Sorry poll did not go through
Saber - Accepted Super Penguin - Sorry poll did not go through Rikaelus - Sorry poll did not go through So there are the results, again please don't feel bad you can always try again in about a month or so. Saber, make sure the first thread you read in the admin forum is THIS one and make sure to memorize all of it. ahhhh_crap wrote:no, splinter has ethics and whut has emotions

Why didn't you just say saber wins and everybody else loses? Quote:Razor: As hard as one might try no one will ever be able to pull one over on Super Penguin. Backpack of Win

There was no 'win' or 'lose' here.. it was a separate poll for each and everyone who requested admin. Splinter addressed them separately because that's how the poll goes. Just so happened that one of five succeeded. Everyone is encouraged to try again later on.

Not surprising for mine. Someone hinted at the fate of my poll a few days ago. Still stings, though. At least once every couple days I'm asked if I'm an admin to check on someone, or something comes up that could use an admin's touch. Just yesterday there was a spawn-door problem and an aimbotter, but an admin showed up to take care of the latter at least. Guess it comes down to whether or not you want a cop already sitting on every corner, or just a quick response to calling 9-1-1. Unfortunately for me, I can't call 9-1-1. And unless there's regulars on, nobody else knows who to call.

We are all listed in the WDF? Steam Community Group... and yes I know it requires you to 'alt tab' out of the game for a minute to look it up, but the alternative is to just try to deal with the crap that butt head causing the problems is giving you... but once you know who the admins are, you can just pull up your friends list in game and see if one of us is online.. I will be more than happy to assist any time I am on line, just give me a yell!

Speaking for myself, as I know it's not a problem many others have: That's just it. I don't have any of the Community tools. I don't even have a Community tab in my Steam client under the account I play TF2 and most everything else under. The extent of my Community interaction is done through a normal browser, going to the community websites. I can log in there, approve friends, etc., but any functionality that relies on Steam doesn't work, such as clicking "Send a message". In theory I could sign onto my standard Steam account and communicate through that, I suppose, though I'd have to close out of the game, log out and back into Steam to get there. I guess I can look at doing that. A bit annoying, though. P.S. Alt-tabbing usually - at least for me - leads to invisible models, wire-framed water, etc., so that's a bit icky of a practice, too.

You can always use the in-game steam options via shift+tab (default) to view the steam page instead of alt+tabbing.

There wasn't enough room on the page for that BIG ASS CHEESEBURGER head of yours.
