In my travels I have stumbled into a couple of places claiming that the det pack object now has some sort of bad bug in it since the last update. So my curious little mind just had to find out if this is effecting the tomb too. I grabbed a det in the well while the Tomb was empty and sure enough right after I set it the server went boom and I was magically transported back to the land of two fort. For the techy wanna bees out there.. the issue occures right about the time the whole timer sequence should start.. when it used to go beep beep beep.. it now goes "connection problem".

Now get ready for a few more crashes while the people invaribley have to try this out... I would yank the det maps for the time being

I tried this out on a local exact copy of the tomb with no effect.

instead of disabling the maps with a detpack can we just disable the detpack from functioning? i.e. the map still works but either the det doesnt appear or if it does whatever code runs when you click it doesnt load.

What? No.. I said I tried to replicate it on my own personal copy of the tomb (where I do all the development.)  It's a dedicated server and could not reproduce the crash.

this can't be edited.  the codes that make the det pack work the way it does is made by the mapper.  servers cant change these files unless they decompile the map and mack the changes.  then they would have to recompile the map and put the new file on the server.

Happened again sometime between 10:30 p.m. and midnight, Thursday.  Not thinking I covered for someone who said he was blowing the grate.  I died, while he was in the water, then, poof.  I didn't even think about it until we switched to 2fort and someone asked what had happened.

Det Pack or whatever... we sure crash a lot... and many players don't come back...

I love 2 fort but miss so many more of the oldies that never make it before crashes...

I'm beginning to feel sorry for Sirus too... which is totally not like GAL

Yeah that was me that set the detpack.  Right after I set it, it froze on me.  Then it said my steam id was invalid so i didn't bother loggin in again.
