So I have this cluttered workspace that I use near my computer/TV area.  I have a box of Kleenex® I keep around, but the damn box keeps falling over, or generally getting in the way of things and it's always just out of reach when I need it.

So I took my glue gun and glued the thing to the bottom of my desk.  When it's empty, I'll just pull it off and scrape the old glue off the wood and do it again.  You can't even tell it's there unless you get on your hands and knees.

brilliant idea...but the superglue seems kinda overkill. why not velcro tabs or some sort of magnet system? or a bracket that works kinda like a paper-towel holder? just something to not have to deal with gluing, ripping, scraping, repeating.

Genius, madness, it's all the same. Just be happy Cantrip devotes himself to harmless projects around the house and occasional playtime with dolls.

It's glue from a hot-glue gun.  Here's a random pic of a glue gun:

It leaves little wads of glue that stick to everything and harden to something akin to plastic when they cool:

And I did think of making a little shelf for it like a month ago.  I thought of taking a Tupperware container, cutting a hole in the bottom for the tissue and cutting the side off to slide it in, attaching the whole thing with drywall screws.  However, that was too much work.

And the Velcro and magnets cost $$, which I'm trying not to spend any of until I land a job again.  I have two of these little guns.  I got them years ago from the 99 Cent Only Store, for 99 cents each, with glue sticks included. I used one to make my computer speaker mod, to hold the circuit board in place.

And the whole project took like five minutes.  Four minutes for the heating element to heat up, ten seconds to apply the glue to the box and stick it under the desk, and about another 50 seconds of me holding the thing in place. It's going nowhere.

And LOL @ Badhorsie.

That's a very convenient spot for whoever might be under that desk that needs a quick tissue after services provided.

Now we know cantrip wacks to pics of WDF at his desk.

Although you should rather consider getting a more permanent box to put under your desk. Get one with a slidable bottom which you can place upside down and easily refill with just a swipe of the box. Since its Cantrip im talking about and u be pretty handy with tools you can always make your own so it can match your desk.
