So tropical storm Fay has been raising the water levels in Melbourne for quite a while now and we have gained about 10 inches so far.
I've lived in Florida for all but one of the 19 years I've been alive and I have seen way worse on the damage and size scale, but this is the first time that I have seen a lot of evidence in flooding.
The river near us has risen close to 5 feet and it is flowing at about 10 miles an hour. We also have a 3 foot river where there was previously an open grass area.
Like I've said, it could have been way worse but this is the only time I've been in a flash flood area so it's pretty cool to see everything change with water.
