I don't know where all you regulars were last night (except TripleBam), but Arena on Tempest #4 kicks sooo much ass.  If you haven't checked it out yet, you totally need to.  I haven't been this happy to play since they invented 24/7 2fort!

It combines the fast pace and white-knuckled tension of CS with the class balance  and dynamics of regular TF2.  I understand occasionally wanting to just sit back and tend a sentry in the hay room for a while, but for excitement, this new mode rocks!

I think this absolutely should be a permanent fixture for Tempest #4 (OR I QUIT!!)

arena running on our servers is currently buggy, sometimes it force respawns some people ultimately killing the purpose of arena. We will have a fix for that soon enough, WDF has been notified.

I've been playing on there for a couple hours and haven't noticed that happening...

Giller mentioned to me about the game crashing for him occasionally after the update, but he said it was occurring on all servers.  Also I know TripleBam crashed out once tonight, but it has yet to happen to me.

[[EDIT @ 3:00AM CST: yup, crashed on me just now]]

The crashing is a known issue on Valves end.

I don't like arena mode too much.  I can't stand the sitting out a round.  Maybe lower the max players to 24 for Arena that way you don't sit out but that might mean needing another strictly Arena server.

If there is an odd number of players, regardless of the team sizes you will have to potentially sit out a round.

Plus having it a higher number allows for greater variety in the teams.

But yeah sitting out does suxor :(

Arena kills. It is very epic, I agree with K_Buz that the player limit should be 24. I was deeply saddened this morning though when there was nobody on temp. 4 except me...
