Lost 1 helicopter and 1 Flight Engineer last week to an RPG. It was hit after trying to takeoff after a delivery of mail to some troops at a forward position. Pilot made an amazing crash landing on a nearby road before the helicopter was completly engulfed by flames. I think that made the MSN news on the internet. The fellow Russian crews around gathered to have a toast to say goodbye to him and they invited me to toast with them. I was a great Honor. We drank for some time and I do not advise attempting to keep up with Russians while drinking Vodka ( its like heir national passtime).

Mortar attack last week here in Sharana. No injuries. I was at Kabul airport 2 weeks ago when there was another RPG attack.

Other than all the dieing this job is great.
