I currently own a Habu mouse, a collaberative effort between Microsoft and Razer. For a couple months it did well, but as of late, I've had issues with it. Periodically, my mouse will totally drop out. The lights are still on, but there is absolutely no input. Any clicks or movements won't register at all. I'll try to post a demo to demonstrate soon. This happens more often when gaming than normal usage. With normal use, this occurs perhaps once an hour. While gaming, it can happen once every minute or more. After 5-10 seconds of inactivity, the connection is restored and the mouse functions normally. This happens especially often (multiple times per minute) with Source games, but I can't draw a hard line to connect them. I've tried a few driver and firmware reinstalls, but I haven't seen much progress. I sincerely hope that it's an overlooked software issue, and not a hardware problem ( this is the only mouse I have ).

try updating driver if there is a newer one. try using default mouse driver. have you google to see if anyone else has this issue? do you have a lot of stuff plugged into USB ports?

Well, I opened it up and had a look at it. After some fiddling and wire-tugging, I've decided that it's a genuine hardware issue w/ the mouse. The USB cord leading out of the mouse has serious connectivity issues. Oddly, anytime I pushed and pulled at the actual connection from cord to circuit board, the connection was solid. But anytime I laid hands on the outgoing USB cable, the connection went haywire.

Frankly, it's a fix that I don't care to do. Not right now. Maybe later, and then I'll just sell it.

I've ordered a Razer DeathAdder. If this one flips out, I'm done with Razer.
