Yea so i guess i am one of the exclusive web nerds who was allowed to have m.www.yahoo.com as their home page. From what i read, only a very few people were chosen to "test" the new homepage. Has anyone else been chosen to see it? if not, why the shit did i get chosen? i didnt sign up or anything. and NO other computer i have been on has the new yahoo homepage and if you try to type in m.www.yahoo.com on a computer thats not enabled, it takes you to the old AJAX page.

Does anyone know wnything about this? how i was chosen? how i can comment on what i am seeing and how they oughta fix some stuff? Its definately a lot prettier than the old version but doesn't really function all that great. one example is that i have seen the same "scenic locations around the nation" for the past week and it won't refresh. (bryce canyone is still no. 1) and the mail option opens in a super small window thats difficult to look through.

Let me know...

Seems as though they just fixed the scenic parts of the US. now its a section called "pulse". now they just have to fix the mail thing.

more news.... less than 1% of users were chosen and apparently it was done randomly. theyre going to test out an engine that allows advertisers to target more specific users and allow users to get more sophisticated SERPs. Like if a kid were to type in COKE (the acronym or the new engine) he would get a coca cola site, if a nerd typed in COKE they would get the new yahoo engine, if a miner typed in coke, he would get a wiki on how to turn Coal into Coke, and if a druggie typed in coke, he would get a drug site. I guess they will be doing this based on past internet activity and cuz i have been using yahoo as my homepage for years, maybe they have enough info on me to have the new engine make these deductions...

seems a little big brotherish.... but whatever.
