It's called Def Poetry (or Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry), it's on HBO, and I am the only person I know of who has ever even heard of it. Some great stuff on there, though -- Rives always does good, entertaining stuff. I'm glad there are a lot of clips from it on YouTube now, because I couldn't even find torrents for that shit several years ago. Oscar Brown Jr. did some fucking amazing pieces, and this is the last one he gave, which aired after his death:

I have a friend who is a slam poet. He travels to all kinds of poetry events and all... I have seen this show with him a few times. I am not big into slam poetry though. plzz dnt spam myu tread ' - lol jp jp
