My university residence and housing internet provider has limited us to 10gb downloads a month. People are up in arms. What should I do and just how ludicrous is this?

To top it off they've blocked us from getting any outside providers so we're basically stuck with these fuckers and can't do shit about it. My theory is that the President of the University obviously is getting some incentives from contracting these fuckers. They're making away like fucking bandits.
I'm the leetest one here

You need to get everyone together and start raging their shit.

I dunno... become an activist. Research the legalities of this decision. Do you have to pay for net access? I've never stayed on a university campus before (except in the womens dorm at Redlands once..... lol)

There's got to be something illegal about that move. Something that violates some campus law, or whatever...

Or maybe not. Shit, comcast is limiting bandwidth now. Who knows?

I'm not qualified to answer this question at all. Sorry. I wish I had better advice. Perhaps this is one for the general advice forum.

Also, I'm not qualified to answer any questions, but I'll continue to pretend I am.
