Who here has been playing fallout 3? I'd really like to hear some of your experiences on the game. I can't get it yet because my girlfriend lost her job and we are on a spending freeze. I do love to hear about how awesome it is. So use this thread to talk about the good the bad the awesome. Lemme know if there is anything I need to know about the PC version that I may not expect. I can't wait to pick up my lunchpale speacial edition (hopefully in a week or so.) Have at it guys!

It's really awesome running backwards from a slow moving enemy dropping mines in front of you.

I was a huge fan of the first two Fallouts and also played Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion a heck of a lot, and I have to say I was disappointed with Fallout 3.  It's one of those "everything's there, so what's not right?" sort of moments.  It has the look and background of a Fallout game, but make no mistake it could pass for a total conversion mod of Oblivion in a heartbeat.

I ranted about it a little bit here, but there was just something lacking in my experience that made me not really enjoy playing it...

Sorry to be a downer, but I'd highly suggest you try it out before you buy.

having never played any fallout game before OR oblivion, I am freaking loving this game.

Formally known as MrT
The film "Brokeback Mountain" was originally pitched as an off-beat romance starring MrT and WhutDuFuk. The sole reason the two legends declined the starring roles is because if MrT and WhutDuFuk were to kiss, there would be new meaning to the word homosexual...it would mean "obligation".

It has it's minor issues, but as a game it's a very good, if not awesome game  However, as a FALLOUT game I think it's slightly dissapointing.

It's a much better Oblivion 2 than it is a Fallout 3. Basically illustration #642235-b of games being dumbed down for console gamers and suffering greatly because of it.
