It doesn't look as fast paced as the trailer for Bioshock.

This is the only video I can find and its bad quality:

I dunno why... but I wish they had the Grand Galactic Inquisitor in this game.

Ill back you up on this.  What is the deal with carebear games now a days?   Bioshock was rediculous.  My biggest compliants

1.  the difficulty curve dropped off to almost nothing about half way through the game.  I had so much cash, so much ammo, all the plasmids i wanted....i never worried about anything.

2.  The respawn system was retarded.  Challenge me!  there was almost no penalty for dying!  the one penalty was frusttration because I would have to run into a situation with less and less ammo/health and basically keep going at the enemies until fucking attrition won out on my side and my infinite lives outpaced thier single ones.

3.  I played on the hardest setting and I was a god by the end of the game.  I kid you not....I ran though the last 1/4 of the game with a wrench only...until the last boss.  I could melee a big daddy and win with only using one medpack because of my freezing/damage/speed/lifetap plasmid combo.  other enemies were nothing.   It was comical at first, but then just a little sad....like playing paintball against kids in wheelchairs.  (They are out if you hit them in thier wheels, I argued.  Cecil-san remembers that day.)

Did they get rid of some vita chambers or something? Because thats what made the game really easy. It was still a bit challenging, though. Even though I knew there was really no penalty for dying I always tried to stay alive and be really tactful. I was never as lucky as Giller as far as items go, though..

There's an option to get rid of Vita-Chambers in the existing versions.

The PS3 version's new mode drastically reduces the amount of ammo and money you get from dead people to like 1/10th of what it used to be. Buying the same game twice sucks, though.

I actually didn't enjoy bioshock's gameplay. I found it very repetitive and just annoying. The big daddies just wasted my ammo and plasmids up and I was struggling in parts until the game got really easy. The vita chambers were stupid and the camera (taking pictures) system was also repetitive. The only reason I continued to play was because of the story. When it finally started getting a little more emotional (When you learned you were basically a big test baby) I started to enjoy it a little more. One of the parts that really got me is after you leave were all the little sisters after they saved you a audio tape plays the scene were jack was younger and breaking a puppies neck. I felt that was one of the most emotional scenes in the game

FUCK YES OMFG YES!

Its a long wait, it arrives between August and October 2009.

The combat got boring and it was too easy, I completed it mostly using the wrench, but the atmosphere was incredible. I don't usaually buy a game I will play once, but I did for Bioshock, I hope the sequel we have more re-playability. It could have an amazing multiplayer! Also "Sea of Dreams" does sound cheesy.

The sequel will definately be worth playing, they can hopefully learn from their mistakes in the gamplay of Bioshock.

It's a trick to balance difficulty, but I'm not a huge fan of the penalty for dying being you have to replay huge chunks of the game again.  I agree that if there's no penalty at all then effectively there's no challenge, but I wonder if there isn't some way to keep up the difficulty without just making the player do it all again.

In an hour of Darkness a blind man is the best guide. In an age of Insanity look to the madman to lead the way.

This film could be brilliant, but often with films based on games, they turn out not to be the same.
