Potential? I'm still waiting for the hunted mod to release their map publicly. In the mean time, there's this mod as well. Tempest 8 will still be going Hunted once that's complete.... I was thinking tempest 7 could go zombie? I know some people like Badwater, but it's really not pulling in any players right now.

A TF2 map mode. One team Zombie, one team survivors. Zombies are Heavies+Scout+Spy (melee only), and they respawn. Survivors have guns but once they die they get put on the zombie team. Game ends when Survivors make the countdown timer, or when everyone becomes zombies.
We should look into the Dragon Slayer mod. Each team has to slay each other's dragons, and the dragon shoot at you.

Yeah Ed and I heard about this last summer from a friend of ours who's server got the first zombie mod, and it was AWESOME! We got a bunch of tempest regulars to come to the drunken brawl with us (jangles, leon, saber, and a few others)... So some of us have the map, and I'm sure one of us could give it the the super-admins to run on a server, maybe temp 3 or its own server? :D McCheese wrote:I've always said all women are 2 drinks away from full on lesbian action Lead Salad wrote:I never figured whut for a fairy..wait, yes, yes I did. I have played that quite a few times and I was personally not very intrigued by its content.. It seems to be lacking something. The zombies need to be tweaked a little to balnce the guns that the survivors have.

While the mod isn't perfect, it's very addicting, and once you get good at not dying (harder than it sounds) and turning into a zombie, the game can turn into a game of teamwork and wits, you know, actually thinking, lol. :D McCheese wrote:I've always said all women are 2 drinks away from full on lesbian action Lead Salad wrote:I never figured whut for a fairy..wait, yes, yes I did. This mod is sweet. I enjoyed it, and I hate TF2. Maybe the thrill of surviving a wave of attackers by yourself in an enclosed space would make any game fun, but after doing that I kept playing for an hour or so. The only thing it's missing is zombie skins.

After playing Zombie Fortress for a long time and through many levels, I'd have to say I don't like it. It's a good concept and it has potential, but the levels are buggy, the teams are unbalanced, and the mod is filled with glitches and bugs. The props from HL2 aren't meant for TF2, and players constantly get stuck in them. Most levels screw up the class select system so you have to be whoever it randomly assigns you to. There are places that Demomen and Soldiers can rocket jump up to (like roofs) that zombies can't reach. My final rating: The mod is incomplete, send it back in for revisions and playtesting. I also dabbled in Dragon Slayer for a few rounds of 2 player teams, but I could tell it was going in the same direction. The dragon looks cool, but I think it only has as much health as the level 1 sentry inside it. AFAIK it can't be repaired, and when it dies it simply stops moving, doesn't even blow up. Can't wait for those default spawn times on the offense-defense maps!

Both dragon slayer and zombie are in their infant stages. Updates and better maps will come.

fun for a little bit but not as good as regular TF2.
Most annoying part was getting stuck on the furniture constantly. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like ... victory"

Couldn't agree more. That was majorly annoying!

Is our ZF Server modded? The scout shouldn't be able to crit at all. I just hope they fix the Z:H ratio at the beginning and less offensive for both class. Cpt. Can't wait for those default spawn times on the offense-defense maps! ZF is trying to copy ZM/ZE from CS:S. The props are for barricading purpose but with TF2 the props are too easily moved making barricades impossible to make. Other than that, the heavy shouldn't be allowed the finger of death to allow barricades and spots god like and allowing humans to win. In CS:S you also get stuck in them. But the problems are just from the map.
