excuse me while i vomit.  punk rock is the only genre of music aside from hip hop in which one can use the same beat for every song, same theme for every song and still somehow be "cool".  its a waste of time.  if i wanted to listen to someone spout moronic claims and feelings i'll go to an asylum.  and i dont like techno because its equally retarded.  fuck they dont even play instruments, any monkey can make a techno song.  and most metal sucks too its just power chords (like punk) and screaming about my girlfriend fucked me over in b tuning and uber fast double bass.  i like to listen to any band that can at LEAST vary their sound and incorporate more than the simplest concepts of music theory.  i've never liked punk.  ever.  i liked korn because at the time they did something different, albeit their lyrics were trite, but not as bad as every punk song i've heard.  i liked slipknot because i hopped onto the bandwagon.  mostly i listen to jazz.  and GOOD jazz none of the kenny g bullshit.  i like incubus because they can combine any kind of music/music theory you want and put it into a song.  hell my band put every punk band i've ever heard to shame.

edit: don i take back the i am dissappointed bit.  i get worked up pretty easy when people say "ZOMG what a douchebag" to me about what i like and don't like.  you like it, i don't and we'll leave it at that.

Honestly, I don't care what people think about the music I enjoy, music is personal.  People like what they like, it's as simple as that.

  I just feel the need to make the drama nice and tight around here.  We haven't had a good flame war in ages!!!
