Team fortress 2 maps can be ported to left4dead, director ai takes care of safe rooms, places med packs, weapons, ammo, and spawns  zombies accordingly, yes i know audio isnt synced with the vid

I think I saw somewhere that the first map in Ravenholm crashes the game.

Ooooh two great games at the same time!

There are a whole lot of custom maps that would be great for this! Oilrig was the first one to come to my mind... I forget the name of it, but there was another custom map on Temp 3 that looked kind of like the Hoover dam. That would be great for some zombie hunting as well.

Now I wonder if you could bring the zombies into TF2? Imagine being a Heavy and mowing down an oncoming horde, or being an Ubered Pyro when a Tank shows up. Awesome! :D

Not without a serious mod.  You are still running L4D, you are just importing source engine maps to the game.  You can do the exact same thing to Counterstrike, DOD, or TF2 with a little bit of modification (IE you can play 2fort counterstrike if you really wanted).  The only difference is that because the director takes care of spawning enemy/item entities...its a little easier to convert a map into L4D.

So the director actually does take care of safe rooms? I had no idea it did that, too. Goldrush could be it's own little campaign!

I think you still have to designate areas for saferooms.  You still have to have some mapping know-how to port the map...you just don't have to worry about spawns for items or enemies.

L4D makes a change to the trigger_multiple option used in source engine maps, allowing for a trigger that doesn't activate unless all four players are triggering it.  This sounds like the trigger for the safe rooms, though I haven't decompiled any of the L4D demo maps to check.  If that's the case, any maps being ported would still need to have safe rooms designated.

You can do it in Garry's Mod, minus the ubercharge part.

Imagine on that level where you have to get to the top, where each tier and the floor spins really fast, That would be hilarious.
