So my school uses a filtering program called surf control, and unfortunatly, it is very good. but we recently discovered that it has stop working for all sites but youtube and myspace. We think that they are in the progress of updating it and thats why its not working. In the meantime: forum browesing at school! W00t! We've been able to go to all manner of websites: 4chan, something aweful, wdf, penny arcade, porn site, etc.
Now if I could only install TF2 on the computers in the graphic arts lab. (They have sweet Quadro graphics cards and huge ass flat screens.)

Shouldn't you be doing things at school like learning? What level school are we talking about here? Belligerent Pimp wrote: The Man Society just suspended my man card for a week for getting rickrolled by Mrs. Mary Midwestern Housewife.

Murdy is truth. Steam would bypass that lock. It's similar to installing plug-ins to Firefox in that you don't need admin privs to do it. This was how I used to play the triviabot at school. Back when the cool people played it so I didn't look like a whining bitch when I asked Whut to put it back in. Safety + Peace

When I was in HS we had just gotten our first decent computer lab and T1 line....it was a new thing so the teacher really didn't nkow much about it. ROFL. MP3's had JUST been developed. This was back when they weren't mainstream and really only being traded on private FTP ratio sites and IRC. I was running a fucking FTP ratio site off my schools bandwidth and trading like mad. LOL. I was seriously like a small celebrity when I first started playing MP3's over the other classmates MIDI shit. People couldnt believe it.
And we played games...teacher didnt care because I designed all the frontpages for the school website and got it done in 3 weeks..rest of the year was mine to play games, run illegal trading FTP sites, install trojans to fuck with people across the network...and send novell network messages over and over again to the counselors office under a proxy IP for an innocent guys computer.
good times. Oh i had a friend convince our computer teacher that Quake was a java game and was just internet content he was studying....I had tears in my eyes after that deception. Quote:

It highschool. And no, steam wouldn't bypass it because they block all non HTTP traffic, and it is only allowed on port 80. Also the entire network is part of a windows domain so they have group policy up the ass so no running of any programs. 4 years ago (i'm a senior) you could bypass it by nameing the program explorer.exe or mspaint.exe or something like that, but not anymore. Oh and cheney, they have block stuff because some senetor put it in a high school funding bill. And we need the money. My high school district (the largest in CA) has put a freeze on spending becuase we have no money because the state has no money. The science department couldn't buy a $.50 test tube if they tried. There is litterally $0 money.

When I was in university, the main thing I worried about was getting caught by helping construct the pully system, that put the deans car on the roof.

Back when I was in highschool an entire group of the A+ class was in pDs, it's how I initially got into it. We'd all be posting on the forums during class and the teacher eventually told us we couldn't go on the site because the name and URL of the site was WhutDuFuk back then (ahh the memories) and it sounded to suggestive. We still went to the site anyway and just tabbed whenever he walked by.. ;) [01:34] whutdufk: I love you Spaniard Lead Salad wrote:I love you Spaniard FinalGamer wrote:I love you Spaniard <3
