Why is my scroll button now moving the page up when I scroll down and down when I scroll up? How do I fix it (other than restarting the computer - which I have done. 3 times TODAY!). Try turning the mouse so that the "tail" comes out the top...not the bottom. You are holding it upside down.
Or go to the control panel, mouse, and see if there are options to reverse the scroll wheel....or check any mouse specific software that is installed for those options. (ex Logitech control center, etc)

So it's fine if you restart, but not if you use it for a while? If it is broken from the start, it might be mechanical. If not, it's software related, a virus, or you're drunk again.
