We should all wish Obama success. He has an opportunity to become a great President. He has around 1 1/2 years to turn around the economy before people (especially in his own Congress) turn against him. What was true during the time Clinton first ran still rings true today, "it's the economy stupid" . I already see signs of the leadership in Congress wanting to push him in a direction he doesn't seem to want to go to revive the economy.
Let's all hope that Obama makes the right decisions and not the political ones, because if he can't turn around the economy most anything else really won't matter. As far as the changes he has made in his first day, like all President's before him, window dressing. The next 100 days will tell us much about the next four years. Again, let's all wish him well.

Actually you're right, it was. It was Clinton who came up with the phrase.

I think it'll take time for me to truly be impressed or excited about this. While I think some of his actions were a step in the right direction so far, some of them are almost identical to what Bush did first term. America has some short term memory. He's a charismatic speaker though and watching him speak, regardless of how much of it it seems we've heard before, is inspiring. I laughed at the daily show clip hard, because it's how I feel too. However, even though speech wise similar, I believe Obama when I listen to him say it, where as I would roll my eyes listening to Bush. We'll see what happens. I'm still hoping.
