Meh....this isn't a new angle on it to me honestly. The choice of abortion always weights the potentials against all of the affected parties.

Yes this is a dramatic case, but surely if a video showed the children of those broken homes or worse the violent homes, the children growing up in poverty and starvation, perhaps the mood elicited would be different?

I can't remember the exact quote, nor the person who stated it, but I recall something along the lines of "The talents of Einstein do not trouble me, what troubles me is how many Einsteins have lost their lives toiling in coal mines." Yes, I've bastardized it, but that sort of gets the feeling. All of us have a potential. The unborn no more nor no less than any alive. I can show you a potential abortee that grew up into a rocket scientist, or a child molester. If we let these emotions sway us I believe we will fall from the analytical capacity of a civilized creature into the barbarism that we have tried to leave behind so many times.

So.. don't have an abortion because your kid could turn out to be a significant cultural figure? Seems like a weird argument to me.

Don't worry about trying to get a job. According to thermodynamics there's a chance a million dollars will materialize on your lap!

Ahhhhh_crap, weren't you the guy saying it was a legitimate option to just kill children under the age of X because they are parasitic?  haha!  Kinda funny.

I'm of the opinion this is all of the same idea. Letting emotions cloud analytical judgement is a bad thing. To view the potential of any fetus as comparable to an Alexander or Nietzsche is simply naive.

As to that my opinion that any child under a certain age should be potentially cannon fodder.....well, for one it's not an opinion that I have refined in the extreme so allow me to polish it as I present it. However, I would add that my intentions are not for the populus to decide the fate of the individual child, rather I contend that those who have created the potential child should enjoy the freedom to do what they choose with the child. The right of the society to claim an individual and prevent its death <as in claiming murder of a citizen> is something that I believe should not occur until the child can be considered a proper individual.

As far as being funny, why good sir I hope I shall always be an entertaining clown.
