Lead Salad wrote:My school was named after teddy roosevelt, we were called the "Roosevelt Roughriders" but our "mascots" were 4 people in bear costumes. At some point they had tryouts for somebody to be "the" roosevelt roughrider, but I dont know what the outcome of that was. Never went to a single sporting event and I rarely went to the assemblies. haha small world TripleBam wrote:I was about to correct something but....no...it's all there.

Panthers. Probably the better of the names in the school district. Others were Warriors, Musketeers, Lancers, and such..

Doesn't matter what my high school mascot was (Vanguards) because I'm hijacking this thread to let you guys know that the band teacher for my last two years in high school was arrested last year for having sex with a minor (he was ugly as fuck, wtf.) and she's apparently just one in a huge list of instructors (a lot of them mysteriously left) to be fired / prosecuted for the act. I present to you an update on the case, here. http://www.ocregister.co...50121-attorney-ensemble
No, seriously, click it and read it. Homey in the picture used to be *my* homey. Chilled with that fucker all throughout high school. Man. Shit's kinda freaky. I really liked the teacher, though. It's too bad. silverwasp wrote:Be careful what you wish for... I have 10 younger siblings and I am only 20....

I would think there would be some kind of sensitivity regard catholic schools being called "The Crusaders." I mean, I heard there was some history to the whole "Crusade" thing. I could be out of it, though. Someone better double-check my thinking. Bainbridge Spartans. Safety + Peace

I grew up in an Irish Catholic neighborhood, who's gonna complain? =) Besides, the worst the Crusaders ever did was a little slaughter here, a little rape there. Let he among you who hasn't raped and slaughtered cast the first stone.

Bainbridge Spartans. No worse than "Vikings" who were almost solely known for raping and pillaging the British coast.
