Yes I am ashamed to say it is. It is named after the Lansing Lugnuts. It is a lot cheaper to be named after the Minor League teams rather than Major League teams.

Bawww. That brings back a lot of memories of when my dad used to help coach the soccer teams I was on when I was little.  Some ppl wern't sopposed to be in this picture as it was sopposed to be an exclusive {pDs} pic only but what the hell. Starting from far left I think its Lead Salad, to his right is me, to my right I think its Dick Cheney, to his right its WDF, at the top the guy standing giving the birds is Sir Poop I think, to his right is Endyss.
