So I was surfin the internets today on firefox then had to leave for class, I was gone maybe 2 hours and when I get back firefox has no address bar, I checked to see if my navigational toolbar was on and it was, I tried restoring default tool settings which brought back the address bar but I was still unable to use it. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox itself to no avail.

halp plz

Assuming you're on a PC, you need to probably go into the registry and look for any registry data that may be present after uninstalling it that relates to preferences. IIRC, pressing F11 might do the trick when firefox is open, btw.

just go here:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user profile>\Application Data\Mozilla

move the mozilla folder to your desktop

within this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user profile>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<nonsense name>.default

will be a "bookmarks.html", save that, it is all your bookmarks, after moving the mozilla folder, start up firefox should be fine and just re-import your bookmarks file from whereever you saved it

it's ok. all computer components have clearly dotted lines along which you can cut* to make smaller.
