So I'm kind of an emerging noise fan. When Superjail! started showing on Adult Swim and I heard the
credit theme, I about shat. (The
opening theme is also kickass) but anyways now that the show has gained popularity people are paying attention I was finally able to find out who made the ending theme.
The guy's name is Bradford Reed, he plays (or played) in an avant-garde band called King Missile, whose lead singer I can only stand for one song. But Reed's solo work is beast mode. In the 80s he invented a string instrument called the Pencilina, which he plays like a xylophone (can also be plucked or bowed) and sits at the center of his drum kit. Here's an example of his shit:
He's got a myspace page with a few songs, and a website which only has snippets of songs. I tried searching him on the pirate bay but unsurprisingly nothing came up. So I'm going to try to find him at my usual record store tomorrow, which works out alright because I kinda want to be giving this guy money.
