How the new item system worksYep...Valve had diablo style drops in mind this whole time. What I still don't get -- or at least grasp yet -- is how we'll be able to trade items between each other. My guess is that weapon values are based upon levels, but...I don't know -- there's still a lot of questions I have regarding their plans and how efficient everything will be. I got the dead ringer lately. I tried it out and it actually works alot better than I thought it would. I only played it on a pub, so the player skill can be questionable (im not sure that a good player would fall for it so often). In any event, its a new way of playing the spy, which is refreshing. It forces you to use your disguises alot more and is a challenging way of infiltrating bases because you cannot cloak at all until you take damage and it activates. i know it sounds terrible, but I have had fun anyway...if for any other reason than I had some guy "kill" me ...stand on my feign corpse and taunt me...and then i uncloaked behind him and fucked him in his arrogant ass with my knife.
