I was wondering if, or how many, would be interesting in getting a competitive area of TF2 going again. This would mean that if you were interested, you would be willing to commit to maybe like 2 nights a week. We had some success and some fun last time we tried this, but it was overshadowed by trying to find players to fill the team 5 minutes before match time. Maybe we could eliminate this by getting 8 or 9 people willing to be on this team. I don't necessarily want to head this up, but I thought I would throw it out on the table and if no one else wanted to, I could do it. Anyway, lets see if there is interest first and we'll go from there.

I'd be willing to participate in this on a regular bases. I scrim with Duck almost religiously now, anyways. =P DredNaught wrote:In regard to the ladies... or lack thereof: Just remember that it's about quality, not quantity. And when you do meet a lucky lady, don't be a fool, wrap your tool!

Is this pDs only or if you're going to use ringers like last time I'm in.

I'll compete. Sounds like it could be really fun. Or make me hate the game forever.

If you guys decide to do this, maybe we (CMS) can scrim sometime. We are also looking into getting competitive again. [CMS]defiance - Steam: defiance018 - Xfire: defianceoby - www.constantmayhem.com

I'm always up for the competitive stuff, I just want to make sure we have a team that will be there. Yeah it's Team Fortress 2 and it's a game, but don't say you are going to be available and then pull a War and go off to work in Iraq or something. I didn't mind losing, but I did mind having to scramble to fill a team 30 minutes after we should have forfeited. I will be glad to be an alternate if we have the number we need.

Did someone speak my name without fear in thier voice? :) I am up for a dedicated team. I wont be available till next month sometime as I am having trouble getting out of the country with the fake Afghanistan visa provided by my company...hows that for employee satisfaction!? When I do return I will be jobless like the rest of you, except Whut, cause his job is a providing life via a biomechanical intraveinoius connection to the Tempest servers. Could be why the severs seem a little drunk sometimes.

Nothing would be sweeter than dominating Noobina under pressure. But from the sounds of all this, we could literally turn this get together of the clans into a full on tournament. Truly interesting developments.... DredNaught wrote:In regard to the ladies... or lack thereof: Just remember that it's about quality, not quantity. I just want to have a group of people who I can count on to be there if they say they will. I will do some research tomorrow on some beginner tournys/leagues and I would like to have an idea on what class interested parties would be most likely to play. I think organization is a must. Scrims are a must. Scouting and scrimming on match maps is a must.

I'm glad you put "in-game" in that sentence. I know of a couple who visit these forums that would pay for that type of action.

I lol'd. After this week I'll be able to scrim I don't know what my hours will be next week though. I dominate as pyro, medic, scout and spy, but as I understand some classes never get played in scrims.

Drak would be very good for this "competetive" TF2 team we are building. Also, If this does all come together, do we have to be all gnarly and leet? Like talk trash on weaker players and such. You know like a certain ex-pDs sniper we all know. That is the one reason I've avoided clans until pDs.
