Seattle has had a heat wave for the past few days.. hardly a cloud in the sky and zero air movement. Today, it got to 104, a new Seattle record. Although we're at ~24% humidity, it's not too bad. Actually, it's quite nice, there's a slight breeze coming thru my window and I've got iced tea. I'm still sweating profusely, yesterday I tried playing games and couldn't do shit because my hand kept getting stuck to the mousepad.

I think I'm acclimating to this heat, which is good because last year I would take 5 cold showers a day and never leave the house. I plan on exploring the Philippines sometime in the future, so I guess this exposure is worth it..

I was going to make fun of you for bitching at the heat, but I guess when you live up north in that area it can get annoying. I live in San Antonio (which is seasonally homogeneous - summer). However I'm sure your cold tolerance is a hell of a lot better than mine. Is it going to die down soon?

the forecast is that it'll get cooler on friday, but not by very much.

Yeah, I'm German/Irish, not really built for heat, I can take winter like a mahfucka though.

I find that I drive slower when it's hot. Or at least I don't speed as often.

FUUUUUUUUCK!

So our hottub was turned off because it was stupid to have it hot when it's 104. I turned it off a few days ago in anticipation. I figured it'd be a cold tub. Too bad the temp gauge today said 96. FUUUUUUUCK.

Oh yeah. Horrible water bill. Horrible power bill due to constant fans and AC units. We're totally fucked.

And my fucking pea's died! Not enough water I guess... but I can't afford to water them in this heat.

FUCK!

Yeah. Anyone want to donate to the WDFNews.com emergency utilities bill fund? ;)

Kinda sucks I guess...you guys aren't use to 104 degree temp.

This summer so far hasn't been too bad...but 104+ isn't abnormal in OKC summers. I often sleep in my car during lunch at work in the spring/summer. Just roll down the windows and point the drivers window away from the sun. Worst ever was trying to do that in 109 degree temp...kept waking up all sweaty...hehe

This Seattle Heat Wave is hard on a penguin. I want my 1 and 1/2 feet of snow back! It gets too hot when I try to iron my red cape. And I can't go flying around with a wrinkly cape, now can I?

*sigh*

Alright, sending emergency cash so you can pee on yourself.

Speaking of which, the elephant dissipates heat by pumping more blood through those big ears. Also, the tucan bird pumps more blood into its big beak to radiate more heat out of its body. "Follow your nose; it always knows." Yeah, that cereal mascot bird.

By the same logic, you should be able to stay cooler by maintaining a constant erection. I'm sure that won't be a problem if Whut and Sirus are in the same room. Got hard-on?

You should be more like Cantrip.

lol. It's funny for me to think of Seattle being in a heatwave seeing as how Seattle's is pretty much always raining (in my mind.) I imagine it raining, but sunny as fuck.

Seattle doesn't get cold, I thought. The MEAN number of days at 32 or below for that city (annually recorded by NOAA) is less than even Oklahoma.

Compared to a lot of places, obviously no. But it's still really wet and when I say I can take it I mean t-shirt/shorts in the 30s. Also, I go to Eastern Washington a lot, and have been to Calgary where even there I shock and awe with my amazing polar bearness.
