Okay, so for the record, I'm a very sentimental person and I like to be vocal about my thoughts. Think of that how you may. =P I've been admin for the past 2 months (an actual pDs member for 8 months) now and I've come to appreciate a lot of the responsibilities I have and all of the people I've met on the forum and otherwise. There's been a lot of good times, a cluster of bad times, and a summation of "OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST SAW THAT WITHOUT CALLING 911!" moments. All in all, I've come to terms with how I truly feel about this community. All of you have made me feel like family here even at times when I felt like I wasn't truly welcomed. It's not because of some action any individual did onto me, it's just the way I am. I'm bitter, believe it or not, and for many terrible reasons I have no patience to talk about. I used to keep to myself a lot, as well (ever noticed why I never used a mic?), prior to even being all in the pudding like I am now in both the clan and the community, so I can say with confidence that I've grown a lot. If I have the time, I'll thank each and everyone of you independently to show you my appreciation -- and with this, I say "thank you" for making what life I did have before my first conversation with phoenix about pDs some fabled eons ago, better. My point and goal
Now, I didn't just decide to have a moment on an open forum thread just to show you that I can be a completely emotional meat bag -- far from it, in fact. A lot of you guys, you server admins especially, have wanted to have a say in the direction of this community, or at least an appraisal of your roles and such. I want to help everyone here, even folks on the outside like CMS, GwDR, or whoever, be able to have an even better time with and around us, so that we maintain a consistent and effective "fun quota", so to speak. With that, this will be your one night stand to post up whatever grievances, issues, wants, or wet dreams, you may have that can "possibly" improve or brighten up this place -- clan, forum, or otherwise. My job is to make sure that there's peace and order around here, and I cherish this responsibility as like a passion (no different from how much I love my game, VHEL). Some of your wants may not check out for distinctive reasons, but at least here I can make a note of whatever, deal with them independently if within my power, or take things to the next level. If there's a strong enough backing for an idea that we all know I can't fix or make happen alone, I'll talk to Whut in private about said ideas, and see if we can work something out. The nice thing about being an admin is that my word has the same weight as Whut's, which makes communicating the pros and cons of our community, especially considering how active I am around here with you guys, that much more better for future events. I can't promise the world here -- I'm not the clan leader. However, I can promise you that you won't be scoffed for giving commentary no matter how radical the ideas. This is where Mr. 12 actually gives back to the community and improves it...for realz this time. =P DredNaught wrote:In regard to the ladies... or lack thereof: Just remember that it's about quality, not quantity. It's video games It's not just about the video games. It's about the people playing said games and making the experience a lot more fun. =P Simple as that. Mr. 12 is the shit. Okay, it may be possible to get the pony, but I'll have to see if anyone does exports for unicorns, or the awesome unicorn pony. Cross bred, mythical horses aren't all that uncommon, believe it or not. =P DredNaught wrote:In regard to the ladies... or lack thereof: Just remember that it's about quality, not quantity. I think we should change the name from the "Penguin Doom Squad" to the "Super Penguin Doom Squad" and everybody will be forced to change their name to things like "Iron Penguin", "Bat Penguin", or even "Wonder Penguin" (for the ladies). On second thought...maybe not. In reality I can't think of anything that really needs changing. And also, the beginning of your post 12, you REALLY made it sound like Luap's and K_buz's posts and scared me into thinking you were leaving. And I was momentarily saddened (I got better after I continued to read). Quote:Razor: As hard as one might try no one will ever be able to pull one over on Super Penguin. Backpack of Win
