Everyone has been asking this. Here are the reasons: 1. Lets be honest, you wont be playing borderlands anymore. 2. There is ALOT of new, Epic cool shit happening. Drop the "it should be free DL content line". You can personally experience the demo now that they opened it up to everyone. There is going to be 5 new campaigns. Lots of new weapons, and lots of new Usable items (think pills but not. Like the boomer bile canister, defibrillator, adreniline) They have already released free content. Get off your communist high horse. 3. its a graphical update. 4. there are fun new uncommon, commons that force you to change strategies (see. armored zombies, chemsuit zombies, etc) 5. The "DONG!" that resonates with each smack of the frying pan is hilarious and calming. 6. The characters say more funny shit and its entertaining. 7. Some of the best multiplayer shinanigans of your short lives involved L4D and you are going to need new, funny shit to talk about with your friends. You will feel left out if you dont participate. 8. The levels are more dynamic and the director can change the level pathing from game to game. 9. Zombies have tons more great animations that are disgusting, funny, or add to thier resilliance. (when you have a one legged zombie trying to hop after you...well...its fucking awesome) 10. You get a TF2 bonus hat (beret) if you preorder. Support your VALVE.

I am kinda glad i didn't pre-order this game now , I just downloaded the demo and played though it on normal and expert mode solo and with friends and you know what i found out First few minutes where like this , Sweet pistol i like this gun , bangbang hahahaa guitar melee weapon , Hey...this feels so much like l4d1.... If you didn't like L4D, like it sounds...then yeah you arent going to like L4D2...because the basic mechanics are the same. Just like every other franchise sequel. If you were expecting L4D2 to suddenly be a RTS with puzzle elements...well its not. Sorry. Also, dont play the demo on easy....that should let you actually experience content instead of trapsing through carebear style. A shotty doesn't kill an armoured cop zombie...not even repeated shots from the autosniper rifle.

I'm in love with the fact that they have ratcheted up the gore to 11 in this game. Just shoot a zombie in the back with a shotgun to see what I mean. I tried the demo out last night... first off I dont like the voices for the people... they sound too fake for me... idk how to explain it.... I dont like how you can only have 2 weapons at a time and only one health/adrenaline thing at once... you can run out of pistol ammo... and so you are stuck there hitting a security zombie for eternity. Idk, im not going to write it off just yet, but right now I'm liking l4d 1 better :/ Plus, even if i did want to get l4d 2 I wouldn't be able to afford it :( 16 dollars in my bank account right now, school and volunteering at a dental office for work experience is making me poor :( I don't like it. Anyway, let me know if you wanna try the demo campaigns with me sometime... I willl find time Kelsey.Bertha.Chuck. i like l4d1 i own it and play it with friends when i feel like it , but 2 just feels like a clone of that game with nothing really different for the time difference between the 2 , under a year for 2 to come out feels way to soon and this is not another game its just a upgrade to the last anyways if you READ my post i never played on easy i played on normal and expert both solo and with friends and it was still just as easy it doesn't change the fact that most people think Jews are much like the Ferengi of Star Trek. Valve is a company I have no problem giving my money to.
L4D 2 is a sequel...and similar to every single sequel out there (whether it be movies, games, etc) its going to have a fair amount of similarities to its precursor.
Nevermind the fact its a FPS....you could argue anything since Doom feels just like Doom....

But really, with a FPS sequel...the most change you usually get is updated graphics, new maps, and new weapons. All of which L4D 2 has...
Although I think a majority of people's complaints are the short time frame between L4D and L4D 2...but really, paying $50 and getting a years time frame out of the game is worth it.
Btw Kelsey...you can't run out of pistol ammo and ya...Ellis is kinda a tard but he reminds me of Jason Stackhouse of True Blood and that makes me laugh

This thread just sounds like someone is trying to convince himself that his pre-order is actually worth it (which it isn't). It just seems like Giller is second guessing his decision to buy the game. That's just my two cents, now I'm off to not be seen for another few weeks!
