Quote:A mitraillette (pronounced /mit.Êa.jÉ›t/), literally "submachine gun", is a Belgian "gourmand" available in friteries and cafés. It probably originated in the province of Hainaut.
A mitraillette consists of: A demi-baguette (a smaller version of a baguette). Fried meat (in the form of a sausage, burger, steak, frikandel). The meat varies with the friterie. Salted French fries A Sauce of choice (mayonnaise, ketchup, Brazil, Andalusian sauce, Bearnaise sauce,...) Crudités are often included (grated carrot, fresh lettuce, tomato slices) The crudités vary with the venue. Cheese and cabbage are not uncommon. Originally mitraillettes only contained a sausage or sliced meat, alternatives quickly became available. Often, dürüms take the place of mitraillettes, although usually in shops run by immigrants. ^^most appetizing pic IMO^^ Not sure how I feel about the weird butter sauce, but I'd definitely do ketchup or thousand island or russian.. garglarlgalrlgrel we have leftover baguette. I'm making this shit tomorrow, no excuses.

You guys need to look up the Döner. Döners are a turkish-german fast food thingy that you can find all over germany (but are made better in northern eastern germany). You take a quarter of a flatbread, fill it partially with meat (beef, chicken, lamb, turkey, or whatever the Döner shop has. My favorite is chicken), put in some cabbage, red cabbage, julienned cucumbers and sliced tomatoes, more meat and top it off with sauce (tzatziki, curry sauce and/or spicy sauce). It takes a Döner or two to get used to them, but once you do, you're hooked. The meat kabab, off which the meat is shorn The finished masterpiece

Actually there is this effeminate african dude in my class who gave me his number and is keeps trying to get my to "play soccer" with him on the weekends P.P.S. I would be lying if I said I haven't made several trips to Bainbridge island with love on the mind. P.P.P.S. My mom used the rest of the baguette to make boring ass tuna sandwiches so this probably wont happen for a while

This is a German Gyro. They should have called it a Gyerman or a Geryro. Quote:

This reminds me of how long it's been since I've actually been into the city. The city being Seattle. I think I went to the aquarium. I wanted to buy some funny sealife souvenir but I couldn't find a good one. But there is a beastly (literally) bike rack outside in the shape of an octopus! Also the mitraillette sounds quite appetizing. I need to go to Europe some time. And stay. Edit: Found a picture: Quote:Razor: As hard as one might try no one will ever be able to pull one over on Super Penguin. Backpack of Win
