WHne I left Afghanistan I shipped my clothing and stuuf in a big black footlocker. It was searched prior to me taping it all up and then I gave it to the USPS contractor in Kabul post office camp phenioex.

It got to me in ok condition.

Three months after I was already home.

Maybe I shoulda used express?

USPS still likes to use the Pony Express. Especially when crossing the Pacific.

My brother-in-law is on his second tour in Iraq, and my mom is always sending him things (you know stuff they don't have there, and baked cookies or something). We just use those flat rate boxes, where you can put whatever you want in it, and they send it for 7 bucks or something, never had a problem with it. However, if I can I usually send stuff through UPS or Fedex, when sending things inside the US.

You can't entirely blame USPS, after all, USPS turned it over to the UK Border Agency at some airport and then over to Royal Mail. Any one of those could have dropped, kicked, thrown, or otherwise mishandled it.

True but never had anything bought nationally broken before. Tbh the fault is really who ever packaged it, it wasn't good esp for international delivery (which isn't cheap!)

btw this is what the item is supposed to look like. Cool isn't it? =)
