Ok i will be getting some money from taxes and was thinking of getting a new set up im going with new case a antec 1200 for the space because the antec 900 can hold all my stuff in. And im going to keep the 260gtx and the 8800 (g92) gt sc edtion video card and use them the 8800 gt and have it do all the phyix stuff. But im looking for new motherboard ram and cpu. I was looking into the i7,i5 and the i3 cpus but i have have not been keeping up with all the new cpus and motherboards and ram so i need someone to help me pick out a good set up and help explain the difference in the new cpus and motherboards

i dont want to spend more then $250 on each the cpu motherboard and ram. if its like 5-10 more than 250 ill think about it. And now amd or ati stuff plz i will not buy it im sticking with intel and nvidia.

my current set up is a 650i sli msi motherboard an e6600 2.4gh 1066 bsel modded to 3ghz 1333 crucial ballistix tracer 800 with the 260gtx 8800gt and 2 36 gig raptor drives.

I was thinking of getting a evga motherboard and this ram i found

http://www.newegg.com/Pr...8329&Tpk=20-148-329

so tell me what you think and anything that may help.

You've posted umpteen threads about computer things you'd like to buy. Have you bought anything yet?

AMD is the best price/performance out there. I7's are a bit more powerful than the Phenom II's but outside of high end benchmarks the difference is negligible in real-world applications. But hey, if you want to throw money away be my guest =)

One tip however, do not buy a Antec 1200, yeah it's big and an Antec but it is also overpriced. Get an AZZA Solano full tower or a coolermaster HAF 932. If you look around they can be found for sub 100 bucks after rebate.

If you want an I5 or I7 you'll need Tri Channel Ram. GSkill makes great sticks as does Corsair if you want to pay a wee bit more.

Look around for some combo deals. Ncix and Newegg have Processor and Mobo bundle deals.
