Ok i have been looking at the i7 i5 and the i3 cpus. Now as far as i can tell the i7 are 45nm cpus that have quad core cpus and dual. The the i5 and i3 are 35nm i think and they there are only dual cores but as far as i can tell they are all pretty close in preformance. The i7 quad seams to be the best over all cpu. Can some one explain the differences in the cpus or post a link the can explain the pro and cons of them. i3, Its a sub-par processor, Its for people that want a cheap computer, but want the new ix processor. i5, It's like the i3, it will get outdated quick, although it is quick. If you aren't going to upgrade, i5 is pretty good. i7, the beastly processor, its the most up to date (socket 1366), Compared to the i3 and i5 (which are socket 1156) the i7 has more power (in some cases). Lets just say the i7 wont get outdated quick (unless some super DNA processor comes out). If you want super details, post here again. Jeeps don't get stuck, they just take breaks. The biggest difference is that the i3 was created to be the i5 without the power usage... so it's basically an underperforming i5 for those who care about mobility / green-ity. Intel Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz EVGA P55 FTW SLI GeForce GTX 275 OC 896MB 448-bit Patriot Viper II 8GB (4 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 Zephyr 1000W ATX12V V2.2 / EPS12V V2.91 Using this setup at the moment and I find that the 860 is perfect. It runs solid and I haven't found any reason to need to even overclock it yet. I got the 860 cause my board is the 1156 socket and so far I don't regret the choice.
