Nintendo may supprise everybody and release it early in September or October.  Price will be between 200 and 250.

I can hardly believe that this remote has something to do with videogames. Is it just me, or does this thing remind anybody else of a dildo?

But maybe it is pretty cool, I played this arcade game where you have to actually swing the sword and it was freaking awesome. I don't think I would pay $250 for a remote control, though, especially when those old guns for the NES probably cost a guarter to make and did the job. (duck hunt!) Maybe I'll just play with it in the store ;)

Hopefully they finish a few games that aren't lame first.

Yeah cause we all know that Nintendo hasn't ever made a good game ever.

It's not really Nintendo I'm worried about. I've read in numerous sources that a number of the big launch titles in the works aren't shaping up so well (which is putting it nicely -- Red Steel is shaping up to be a steamy pile of shit). I love my DS, but it took about a year for there to be very many reasons to own one. It would be nice if Nintendo could have a strong line-up out of the gate, but I imagine things will improve once game designers start figuring out how to take advantage of the hardware possibilities.

I'd call Red Steel so so at this point.  It has a lot of potential they just need to deliver on it.  I wasn't super impressed.

I've been seriously thinking about getting a Wii I haven't owned a console since the Sega Genesis. Wii looks good to me because it will be cheap (assuming the ~$200 cost pans out) and more likely to have the kind of games my wife will enjoy also.

If the can come out with some neat accessories for Red Steel (sword and/or gun attachment) playing that game is going to be nothing short of godlike. At least I hope.

Red Steel was confirmed to have a restructured control scheme, which will feature direct 1 to 1 movement with the sword fighting now, and a different viewing system.

I'm not worried about Nintendo.  Anyone can check the sources; they dominated E3.  People loved it, and I cannot wait to get one.  Want to see the stampeed to the Nintendo line? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbm_-EBuImc&search=e3%20rush

LucasArts recently confirmed support for the Wii, which would include lightsaber and gun controls.  Imagine deflecting lasers with the realtime movement of the hilt.  Awesome.

Anyway, there is tons that it will offer, and I am sure anyone who appreciates what it will offer will love it.
