Not Erica. I've had too many bad experiences with girls named Erica. Well... one bad experience. And my roommate's name is Erica and she's alright. But that other Erica still taints the name.

However.. as I firmly believe in giving the child options later in life, I'd suggest names that have a lot of forms. Examples include James, Elizabeth, Catherine, William, and so forth...

Case and point.. my son's name is going to be David James Franklin [last name omitted on account of you creepy people].

So yes... two middle names just to give them a few more options, and to further reference mine and my wife's grandfathers.

He was just saying they needed to name it after him whether it's a girl or boy. :)

Also, I'm not knocking multiple middle names because my cousin did it but what's the big deal? It *could* come off as a bit "stuffy" in my opinion. Babies with 2 middle names come out wearing ascots sometimes. :) But I'm going to name my kid Waterfall Dewdrops so it's each their own I guess.

Kidding on that name (and for giving you a hard time. It's a solid name. That's why you have your own child, so you can name them whatever you want!). Geez my kid would get their ass kicked everyday for their entire life with that name. Giller and I have possible names for our future children but I'm not telling so you people can't steal them ala Seinfeld and George's baby name of Seven (we know a child named Seven btw)

I donno about that. I want to slap some people for what they name their kid. Some of the stuff they come up with these days represents the polar opposite of my belief. I want the kid to have plenty of options. Not only are they limiting the options but they're sticking the kid with names like Blanket, Twig, and... Seven. It's like people have forgotten the concept of nicknames. You can refer to you child by any nickname you want... that doesn't mean you should put that name on their birth certificate and condemn them for life.

Just to toss another name out...
The wife and I were considering Australia if it was a girl. It occurred to me one day that it's actually a pretty name. It's "different" without being of the Twig sort of "different".

No way. Mongolia would be a name like Helga. You'd always expect some scary butch woman to come storming around the corner.

You should name your kid something in wingdings. That'll teach it to give you lip 13 years from now.
