How about another blast... I've been having comp problems forever and couldn't run STEAM games. The comp would lock up after a random interval between 5 seconds and 10 minutes. The motherboard finally died about a month ago. I spent a few weeks shopping and got enough parts together to build another rig. Finished the build on Sunday and have been loading software ever since. I loaded TF2 yesterday and got on for a bit - seems I can't remember how to play. LOL I'll figure it out. It's nice to see a bunch of names that I remember. See you guys around! Hey indi hows it going glad to see your back im still here hiding in the background, hey aufish long time no see buddy and tp is back also and the old guy now all were are missing is quart don sharp get-a-life and a couple of other and it will be time for a reunion. this really makes me miss the days when we only played hl2 dm and was always fighting with hax for the number 1 server spot and my killing noobs with the xbow. Thoes were the best time i have ever had playing games online ever i think. Ah the good old days. Kind of fitting that this is the first topic I find after not checking this forum for a year or so. :P Hey, all, I'm still around. Pretty much in the same boat as Filliam: there hasn't been a video game released recently that makes me want to jump for joy and build a little sadistic community like the old days of pDs. I sold all of my TF2 gear for (depressingly) good money, bought another car (not with TF2 money, sadly), made a few changes to my rig, and then went back to my lovely schedule of neglecting sleep patterns and working abroad until my brain shuts down. It's a peaceful life in Canadia these days. I haven't seen a lot of you around, apart from Granimal and occasionally Muff. Shame the tanks thing is getting wiped out so shortly. If a new bandwagon ever starts up, I'll bring the poutine and the plastic forks. Eh. Win Cookies Awarded: 7 (bawwwwww)

That's the challenge this community has. While it started with HL2:DM, TF2 really solidified and grew the community. And that's a game with a pretty unique feel to it. It'll be hard to find another one that brings us all together in the same way. Realistically the best we might get is several games which interest subsets of the community--but that's fine, it's just a slightly different identity.
