Well, with the server working I hopped in to do some building only to find.... I have no inspiration to build anything. Practically all of my past structures were in some way mob traps. Making traps was my "thing". Now, with them having fubar'd passive mob spawning, there's next to nothing to actually trap.

I'm still holding out on a Bukkit mod to revive the old spawning logic, but... until then...

Ideas?

I'm thinking maybe a big pyramid--something like 100x100x50 but, really.. that's not a "challenge" so much as just busy work.

Replicate your street block. I'm thinking of doing the same.

Too much temptation to blow up certain houses. We have a few annoying neighbors...

Although... I have always wanted to reproduce my elementary school (as best I can remember it) in some kind of 3d environment. Minecraft doesn't necessarily lend itself well to some of the less right-angle architecture, but might be worth a shot...

Oh yeah. Already did that to get the topography of it.

I have a decent memory of the innards. The challenge will be in scaling, since block size options are kind of limited. It had a really neat tri-level layout opening into the large library. I always thought it would be a good basis for some sort of game map. I should mod Left4Dead to have hordes of zombie children... hmm...
