I have big hands so I wanted a full tower and the modular and flexible design of this case caught my eye. Can't beat 11 bays with the easy slide-in locking mechanism. Plus they have those 3x3.5 bay enclosures with the fan in front--I have two of those. I even have one of the little drawers in a bay. =P I took those idiotic flap wing thingies off the front, though. The magnets didn't last long so they were flopping every which way. No pretty way to take them off, unfortunately. So the front looks a little "bleh" but at least it's not flopping around anymore.

Third time's the charm? The first replacement motherboard was obviously borked and got returned. The second replacement started having major--but non-fatal--problems within a month and is due to be RMA'd. The third replacement (because I couldn't wait for RMA replacement) was put in last night. So far so good... Anyone in the market for a new motherboard? I expect to have a brand new board shipped by the end of the RMA process but will have nothing to do with it. I'd like to recoup some of its cost, so will sell it below market even though it's effectively brand new.

I also see that you took out the hdd bay that was in front of you psu but i see too that you are not using the hdd bay that's higher up in front of the psu and 80 mm fan on the back. I just got my 2nd gtx 570 and clocked it to match my gtx 570 classified. So i really need to post a pic. My bays: 1 = Drawer 2 = Empty 3 = DVD-RW 4 = Empty 5-7 = Drive bay & front fan (empty) 8 = Empty 9 = Power/reset 10-12 = Drive bay & front fan, all full Not sure of the exact logic I had in mind at the time, but the empty bays are positioned well to roll up excess cord in, and the front fans are well positioned to bring cold air in where there's the most components in need of it. Now I just need to save up for a SSD and Windows 8. I really, really wish Steam let you choose locations for its games. I'd like to get a ~120GB SSD, but that wouldn't be quite enough for Windows and all my Steam games. And I don't need *all* my Steam games on it, but ones like TF2, Skyrim, etc. I'd like to be on there. =/

It's pretty much all or nothing when it comes to storing Steam games unfortunately :( Quote:Razor: As hard as one might try no one will ever be able to pull one over on Super Penguin. If you're running Windows 2000 or later and both drives are in NTFS format, you can make junction links to files or directories. In 2000 and XP, you can use fsutil for individual files and you need to download the Microsoft-available sysinternals junction package for directories. In Vista and 7 you can use the already-available mklink (/j for directories, /h for files) to create links between hard drives. The second YouTube hit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpqzqVqR3K4) for "mklink steam" and top two comments on the video explain things pretty well. Other Google results are probably fairly explanatory, too.

I program regularly in Linux so knew of the symlink concept when I needed something similar in Windows at one point, and found a way to do it there. It's definitely a functionality Windows doesn't make apparent, but yeah... it's there. Though I don't recall them being referred to as "junction links", so maybe that's a different flavor of the same concept... Anyhoo. Had another scare last night. I got a BSOD and when I rebooted, it was only detecting one of my memory DIMMs. It functioned alright only seeing the one, but obviously that wasn't ideal. I reseated both DIMMs today and now it works. No idea what caused the problem, which leaves me nervous. I would rather have been able to prove one of them had gone bad, rather than have unexplained behaviors like this. =/
