So, this happened:
Steam for Linux Beta Now Available to All

Pretty interesting! If I hadn't bought Windows 8 recently I definitely would be making the jump to Linux. Maybe in a few years when more games are supported and Windows 10 is released.

Thoughts?

I haven't played in so long. At least in 1.75 years.

In fact, I probably have 2 machines, Windows XP, which will still run these games.

But I can see going to Linux if they require an upgrade to Windows 8. Not spending any additional funds on those dinosaurs.

I still have parts for perhaps two additional machines with XP discs somewhere. Not as powerful, but the cards are I think Gforce 8600 GTs.

I have no idea where the damn boxes are in my 5x10 storage unit.

Maybe I would do a Linux machine for one of those lesser-powered boxes.

I say the more the merrier.
