This is as good a place as any to discuss my plans for the WDF servers.
I can't talk about it now, but we (Pwnzord Software) are now negotiating a massive contract with a new organization.
The money will be splendiferous.
What this means is that Horde (the server machine) will be getting a well needed and well deserved upgrade on a MASSIVE scale.
I will be building a machine capable of comfortably hosting 6+ source servers. This means a bunch of things:
Valiss will get to keep his crappy server and up the player count.
Smackdaddy will get his css server back.
Dod and hl2ctf ill remain...
Fortress Forever and TF2 will be added to the server roster, as well as some other promising source games. The new horde will be a beast among men. The old horde will remain running side by side with the new one to bring even more game server power.
The future is actually looking bright for the WDFNews.com community! Stay tuned!

Wow wdf, thats great!! Well minus well ask. I know lots of people were saddened/disappointed when "The Old Tomb" was taken off. I mean that was THE BEST server. EVERYONE knew what "The Tomb" was. You could, for the most part hop on, and there would be a GOOD game goin on. I know since/during fios, the community is frowning on hl2 dm, but. in my opinion its worth another shot. That being said, i know its a 99% chance that it wont since you/ the wdf community is aimin for ctf popularity. (great game btw!!) Well, just thought id say that. And again you are doing a great job with everything. KEEP IT UP!!
ps. i know due to the fact that the update has messed up everything its done for now, but after fios, i think they are goin to get right. dunno though, but there may be some way to fix it........

That's fucking great wacky, I'm proud of you. And linesky, the old tomb was having bugs that were making gameplay not fun anymore. So we upgraded, it's now up to us (the players) to populate the new tomb to make it just like the old one. I'm honestly sick of hearing about the old tomb, just let it die for fucks sake. I'm honestly sick of hearing about the old tomb, just let it die for fucks sake. thank you Don. i know i'm one of the many people who isn't playing on the new server, but that because of other reasons. trust me, if i could i would. i have spent countless hours porting maps to make it better then the old server. in fact, i have given up one of my computers for the last 2 weeks to compile a map. please people, stop complaining about "the old tomb". i think everybody by now has done more then their fair share of "i miss it and...." lets find better things to wine about here. one a better note, i'm glad things are working out whut, can't wait until i can get back on the server again and hopefully when you upgrade your horde, it will run better then ever.

So I got more details on the new project. We aren't guarunteed anything yet. We need to win the bid for the project. However, if all goes well (and we're nervous as fuck) then horde will get an overhaul.

Good luck dude! If anyone deserves it it's you!! This clan is amazingly awesome, as are the servers. Ever since your "populate" post, I've noticed the server has a few people on every now and then. I was on for like 2 and a half hours today playing. It was a really good time. When lots of the clan members left, I kept trying to have people even the teams out and stuff. I had fun, constantly switching and aiding teams lol when they needed it too. God I love CTF. It's refreshing after playing DM for so long =D
llenta I hope all the map making goes smoothly and quickly for ya, cause you've made some killer stuff thus far, and I'd love to see you play them! =D
Now, I'm gonna head off before I seem like a kissup, but GL with the whole server thing, it'll be great!

Best wishes on winning the bid!!!! Do you have any insight on how many others are bidding on the project? When did the bids need to be in NLT?
