That was one thing i never wanted to find out. But yesterday I learned all too well. A friend and i were coming back from an out of town adventure yesterday, when we approached a slow moving red tracker traveling down the road. we stayed behind for a short while and then decided to pass. I turned on my indicator changed lanes and started to accelerate. once i was accross the line and speeding up...................... With no signals the driver decides to turn into a driveway right infront of my friend and I. luckily my friend was able to back off as he was behind me. Myself? I wasn't so lucky. Somehow i managed to miss hitting the vehicle but i still had to but my 9 day old bike onto the ground and go for a ride. Turns out I dont slide to well. LOL. But thanks to rider safety courses that i have taken i was able to get onto my back shortly after i went down. I am now the proud owner of a nice hole in my elbow, made it right down to the bone. And a bit of road rash on my hip, knee, and ankle. And all this only weeks before i deploy to afghanistan! Man am I lucky!!!!

After i was released from the hospital, the police officer took my statement and informed me that the other driver was at fault and she was going to be charged.

Sorry to hear/ see about that. I hope you get better soon. Just remember...bikes can be replaced..your life cannot. The good lord had his eye out on you. god bless.
