all of my computer games lagg 24/7 and i recently found out this may be because i have no video card. so..my question is will buying a nvida geforce mx 4000 video card help my games smooth out?
also i cant seem to get my avatar for this forums to work :(

I am not expert but im suprised u can play games with out a video card...and mx 4000..i think that is what i have..PIECE of shit..but dont listen to me wait for someone with mad smarts in the computer world. I like what you guys put while I was away, but I think it was best that I changed it.

Something like that won't help you. First we need to know what slot you have. Is it PCI-E or AGP? That way we can help find a video card that will fit in your computer.

Reaper, what kind of computer do you have? If it's a Dell, Gateway, HP, etc, what model is it. If you know that you have agp or pci-e then skip the first question. The video you have been using is your on-board video it sounds like, and if that is the case it uses your system ram and you CPU which would account for the lag. But the problem you may run into is some dell dimensions don't not have a agp slot or pci-e slot just 3 pci slots and if that is your case you will have to buy a pci video card not a agp or pci-e card. But if you do have a video card in your computer ram will help you should have 512 at the vary least and 1 gig would help you out a lot. To find out if you have a agp, or pci-e card the best way to find out what you have is to take off the case and look inside.
Well after going on-line and looking up dell dimension 2350 the ones i found use on-board video and the CPU speed is pretty slow and a lot of the dell dimension 2350 i found where using a celeron CPU, for the set up you have you would have a agp slot not a pci-e slot. But there maybe a chance that you only have pci slots in it and they normally come with 3 the ones i have worked one before have had only 3, so your maybe different WDF?: I found a hot girl WDF?: Who lets me WDF?: Drink WDF?: Smoke WDF?: And play video games WDF?: ALL DAY shignog: and in the back door? If he doesn't have an AGP or PCI-E slot then he is fucked, getting a PCI video card is a waste of time and money. My guess is he does have one but I'm not familiar with that model of Dell so maybe not. People end up in his situation because Intel are stupid fuckers who make crap on-board video and the OEMs are so greedy they'd rather save $2 a machine than include on-board video that doesn't completely suck. My on-board video can run hl2 and run it fairly well but i do have a 3ghz ht 2mb cpu and a gig of ram to run it on. But if you do want to play games with less lag then get a pci card. And its not intels board in his computer it is a dell made one with there bios and everything that comes with it.
