can someone list me the best processors to the worst? i know its broad but when i look at ads im trying to find out if im getting a good deal or not. thank you for any tips.

thats not nice. The A64/Opteron core is old and it still holds its own fairly well compared to the Core core. If you laid them all out on a graph the top of the line Core would be at the top obviously (at least for awhile still), but the AMD chips wouldn't all be at the bottom.
