i just tried to log on right now and i got the same error but the map was bedrooms. there are 0/32 people on the server and i was trying to start up a game. but i can't get on.

Yeah, I just checked. Neither canyon nor curved-pro has bzip files for them. I added them and so it should work now.

what are bzip files?
this happened earlier on the map that i just made. i don't recall ever giving you a bzip file for any of the other maps that i made. is there something i need to give you that i forgot this time?

bzip files are like zip files. Compressed versions of the maps.
Valve implimented a feature with the fast map downloading to allow people to compress the files to cut the size in half. Makes downloads much faster (IE Fast map dl's).
We do the bzipping on our end. Grumpy is in charge of the ctf server and he FAILED.

All new map uploads will have to be suspened until I can reinventory the directory and find out why so many bz2 did not transfer...
I compressed my entire hl2ctf maps directory in mass... "bzip2 *.bsp" kinds of thing and then ftp'd all bzip2 files at once.. select *.bz2 kind of thing.. I dont know where the hole is in that simple of a process guys but I will find it and when I am off I will load each one of the maps in the map file myself one at a time and make sure they all download into a blank client..
I am sorry about this guys.. I dont know what happened but I dropped the ball here.. If you have lost faith in me then I will have to do the rightous thing and resign and commit hari kari...
but if SOMEONE would give me a raise I could quit that other job and work on this full time... there is a thought.. hehe Once Known as Grumpy... Oh hell lets face it... I have and will always be Grumpy

Dont worry guys.. as always... I gotta plan!
There is no doubt that the Crypt is gonna cause the Tomb to bleed for awhile... Old the old Tombers have gone home for the memories (me included). They will be back
DM is here to stay.. Whut and I plan to bring the crypt back to the Tomb used to be. That is #1. (Hear that Wookies? might as well bend over now ) . I plan to advertise the shit out of CTF and the TOMB all over the Crypt in front of those crowds. As far as the Tomb itself goes I plan to change the play to be very CTF style intensive.. I want to empasize everything that CTF has that DM does not. This mean I will want maps that have things that DM does not.. the new weapons, chracters, movement. This being said the plan will change from showing how alike the two games are to a new idea of showing how different they are...
I will want CTF original maps.. Maps not seen in DM at all. I will advertise them into the mod from the Crypt and when they get here I want to give them a whole new experience they cannot get in DM. So DM is our friend.. Its is going to help attract us new little CTF ers..
When 1.8 gets here.. it will be even better.. I understand the models are even that much more different than DM.
OK.. all for now.. I gotta go work that other job now... Once Known as Grumpy... Oh hell lets face it... I have and will always be Grumpy

Maybe what we should do is keep alot of the DM related maps on the CTF server? That way we drive the DM Crowds in with maps they KNOW and LIKE- and then as we gradually fill it, start switching them out again. Just seems logical.
