This is the masterlist that controls everything that shows up in end of map voting and player votemaps. This list is kept somewhat limited so that every vote that comes up in the game will have at least 2 or 3 really strong choices in it. I strive not to see the server empty cause every items on a vote sucks to eveybody.
Now I understand that people are asking for more dm to be made available on the server so I will now open this up for suggestions on really good dm maps that have a chance of drawing peoples attention for the time they are on the server.
So lets have em guys... map suggestions only... not just some massive cut and paste from somewhere else... Once Known as Grumpy... Oh hell lets face it... I have and will always be Grumpy

i think one of the dm maps that i actually enjoy playing from time to time is dm_runoff. a few days ago when the crypt went down, i actually searched for a server that was playing this map and shortly after old guy joined me with an awsome name  anyway, if any dm map is to make this list i think this one should because although its deathmatch, it still has an objective (kinda).

I agree... dm_runoff is a good choice and I will add that one in tonight.
I also just noticed that dm_overwatch has inadvertantly been left on this list. In my opinion I think the map is a waste of space. Anybody out there like it? If no one speaks up for it I will remove that one when I put runoff in. Once Known as Grumpy... Oh hell lets face it... I have and will always be Grumpy

I don't mind playing dm_overwatch (just because its an old dm map i remember) but I doubt anyone will vote for it in game...
I say take it off. When drunk and can't aim for your life, trust the crowbar.  OMG LOOK AT THE AWESOME HL PROGRESS!

Aim_arena_b6 is about 25mb in size, Newer people that play this game may cancel the load due to the long wait emptying the server possibly, aim_arena_b4 is only 1.61mb in size, doesnt look near as good as b6, but will lag less and keep the players from leaving (hopefully).

This are really good points that you bring up, plus the idea is good for us for more reasons than you even know. With our current bandwidth issues the last thing we need is a whole server full of people even attempting to download this monster all at once.
When I get home from work tonight I will replace B6 with B4 on the votemaplist. B6 will remain admin loadable if anyone wants to fool around with it on a novelity basis. This should go without saying that the map should only be loaded with the server is slow.. I would define slow as being less than 16 players of so that the map was orginally designed for.
One of the problems we face is not being able to run some of the smaller maps because they tend to get smotherd in the crowds when playercount is 30 or so. I will admit that we are looking to reinvent the wheel and trying to recreate the old multi tierd map cycle that Myke used to have on the Hax server. I think I am gonna track him down and hypmotize him into giving me the secrets on how to set that up . I would love to be able to run things like pedestal and nuke football during the off hours when there are not so many people around. Once Known as Grumpy... Oh hell lets face it... i do believe they are already in the mapcycle. i play shipping quite often and bedroom warfare always seems to pop up every time i play. since the voting seems to be broken since the last steam update (clients can fix it, but most people haven't), i'm venturing to say that they are already in the cycle since we still play them.
