yea. i think its cool er whatever but the sound you have is shitty. makes us sound all tough and all but it lags the logon and the sound quality is hell of grainy. how about a shorter, clearer sound? something like 2 seconds long? if that? thanks!

heh... and the funny thing is that I thought i killed it a couple of days ago..

I guess i have to review how to comment out html code...

Anyway Whut.. This is the issue that you and I talked about a few days ago.. The sound is coming from my personal webspace to not add to bandwidth issues on the server but because of this remote loading it is not loading nearly as fast as it needs to. You had me send you the look so that we could look at loading it up from the server itself. I bleive this would make the load time much more acceptable.

Sound clip ideas are always welcome.. I think Gnar has already set out good criteria for these suggestions to meet.

What I am still gonna get around to putting together is a random selection of about 4 or 5 clips so that a different sound plays each time you connect to a map.

So the more ideas the better Guys..

It normally lags me for a good 15 seconds, to sometimes 30 seconds during logon.

It used to lag for me because quicktime would try to associate itself with the file type and have a dialogue box open and lag my game and I'd be pissed. Then I clicked the check box.

its quicker now, but still holds me up for about 10 seconds after i load up.  even then half the time file seems to be messed up by only playing half of it.

my honest opinion, it kinda sucks anyway.  but i don't run the server.

The sound right now is really more of a experiment.. To see what it would take to get it set up and delivered properly... If and when these bugs are smoothed out I have got some really interesting stuff in mind for the opening... but  as in other areas of showbusiness timing is everything and this is gonna take some work still I am afraid..

For instance the new gif was supposed to be animated but I am finding out now that the browers in the game apparently does not allow animation so back to the drawing board on that... I will have to tame it out in code I guess..

Well I guess this is it.. POST 999 for me... If I take one more step I will officially be in llenta land.

I will have to xfire or pm all further wit and witticisms from this point on.. or maybe stick em in my existing posts...

Feel free to xfire me anytime but I will not get suckered into that 1000 post mark.. that is for the llentas and bloodhands of the world

holy shit, i have land named after me.  somebody screwed up big time to allow that to happen.  see you here very soon grumps.  you have to do something good for your 1000 post.  i dug up the old thread that was made when this website was opened about the race to 1000.  too bad it was locked shortly afterward.  but you should do something like that.
