i just built me first small cargo

LET THE RAIDING BEGIN!

yeah, so seeing as i just got my first small cargo that means there are fucktons others out there who have them already. So be careful guys, the blind attacks are beginning, you could be targeted. Try to spend your res as soon as you get it, until you get Small cargos yourselves. once ye get small cargos, ye'll be able to fleetsave yer res, meaning an attacker can't get it. Small cargos are your primary goal when you just start out!

Edit: for the noobs... to get small cargos you first need to build up your mines. metal is what you need most at this early stage... my mines are at:

metal 10, crystal 8, deut 5, solar 11... in or around this level is what you need to get enough income to build your first set of mall cargos. you also need research lab level one, robotics factory level 2, and shipyard level 2. then research energy level 1, combustion level 2.

once you've got small cargos start blind raiding. its best to raid those who are inactive (marked (i) on galaxy page). alternatively look at peoples ranks and attack those well below yours.

the next target is espionage probes. you want to see what your attacking, blind raids are only good in the early stages. people will soon start building defensive structures that will take out those cargos like swatting flies. and probes also let you see who's got the most res on their planet, the most profitable targets.

after probes start looking at researching computer technology. every level of this lets you send out another fleet. the more fleets you can send out, the more people you can attack, the more income you can gain. simple.
yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

blind raiding is ok, as long as you attack those well under your rank, so that you can be sure they dont have defensive structures or a fleet of thier own. Whut makes a good point though, you guys can invest in missile lauchers once you build a shipyard, that deter any attackers at this early stage of the game (but become quite useless after a while).  Something worth investing in, if you're a long way of SCs at this stage.

The last time I had an account I had close to 1000 rocket launchers and they did a very good job. Just something I did

yes. there is never a right time to stop as such. just after a while they become much more expensive, eventually it becomes near impossible to buy more. but once your mines hit level 10 or so, you needn't plough all resources into  them if thats what you mean, then's the time to start investing a bit of research.

are you playing crass? under what name?
