Well i'm pretty much a noob at any type of advancement (overclocking) when it comes to making what you bought (stock) can be able to perform better.
Now does anyone know if it is at all possible to overclock a S478 P4 2.4Ghz 533FSB 512K Processor?  My computer was built by Dell.

I have been told it may and may not...due to the manufacturer.

Please, someone help me.....
I know i'll need to learn sometime.

the cpu can be oc but dell will not offer anything in bios to oc with. I have a friend that has a 2.8 dc 775 skt and the only thing he can do in bios is turn on/off the floppy drive.
