I've been reading Charc's tips and some of the other posts. This sounds like a game I used to play on a BB in the pre-Internet days. I think it was called Trade Wars.
How do I go about starting? Where do I get the game? Do I need to sign up on a particular Universe? HELP!!

Ok, get it at www.ogame.org then build your resources up to like 100k and then give them all to me. register in universe 27. btw just kidding about the whole resource thing =D  Cantrip wrote:When I die, I want to be reincarnated as a woman's jogging bra.

Actually, you dont need to buy the game, all you need it an internet browser lol. Runs completely off the internet nothing else. As dragon said just sign up in Universe 27, and then on the left-hand side there will be a bunch of buttons. Click thew one saying alliance, and then search for pDs, and send ur application. Since you're starting pretty late ull be pretty far away from the rest of us. Charc, is there anywway he could move in closer toe the rest of us without having to have a colony? Heat Repeat!!!

I pretty much didnt start upgrading my defense and shit until all my things were around level 10. OK - I'm signed up. I sent my alliance request. I'm building mines and a solar farm... I hope I live long enough to figure this out.
Edit: Resources seem to go pretty quick. I got to Level 2 on the Metal and Crystal mines and also on the Soalr Farm. Now I'm waiting for resources to generate...

Yeah. waiting and timing is what this game is all about. Early on you'll need more metal, so its best to keep it one or two levels above your crystal at this stage. dont bother with a deut mine til your crystal and metal are around 5, and keep working on getting the crystal and metal to about level 10, with the deut two or three levels behind. when you get to around 10 you shuld be able to start getting the techs for small cargos and espionage probes. With these you can then begin raiding and supplementing your mine income. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.
