i've been hearing about that style of gun for the past 5 years now.... when will it move past the prototype stage? and it's not very practical is it? it can only be used as a turret basically... yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

looks worthless, it just looks like an insanely powerful shotgun and nothing more. what good is that gun if it only can fire at 1 spot making the magazine empty instantly. a regular minigun would still be more effective at taking out multiple targets in a wider range. ahhhh_crap wrote:no, splinter has ethics and whut has emotions

they use systems like that on ships i believe. they are used to take down incoming missiles by making a wall of lead that explodes the missile. of course they don't shoot at 1,000,000 per minute, but they are able to fire for a much longer duration.

yeah, the Phalanx close-in weapons system has been used for a while in the navy. I don't see any further application of this type of weapons though; as someone else said the gun is bound to be huge.

i think it'd be useless on the battlefield considering its huge amount of ammo consumption, unless of course your got your enemy bottlenecked and have this little surprise waiting for them In an hour of Darkness a blind man is the best guide. In an age of Insanity look to the madman to lead the way.

fleet warfare possibly, but it would be for private sector. building security would be the likely use for it. could you imagine that thing on a motion activated turret? of course not firing all at once, but the speed at which it fires. as long as tracking speed is up there for the turret, it would be devastating for security systems. Times mentioned in the above post are stated in WHUT time... which is not the time normal humans are accustomed. Whut time is relative. Today is defined as whenever Whut happens to get a bug up his ass and thinks he is gotten sorta of close to being in the mood. The actual real life timeframe for these occurences is unknown at this time. Sometimes it happens more than once in a day and during other periods it would be more like for hell to freeze over than anything actuallly getting done. Currently we are in a time frame where it would seem that there would be more of a chance of Dragon getting a girlfriend as far fetched as that might be than there would be of anything actually happening here. -YourAimSucks -Reaper o'Blood -{pDs} Bloodhands

Umm, or you can wipe out an entire city with it.
One of the things that was actually thought up was killing entire camp installments. Such as a middle eastern force spending the night in a valley.

I would rather see it shoot continuously then see it shoot once. that gun has much work to be done on it {F - C} Gen.Laughlin: Oh god {F - C} Gen.Laughlin: Terible nate is reading as we speak {F - C} Gen.Laughlin: :O {F - C} Gen.Laughlin: Brb, Popcorn is ready {pDs} t3h Cam3l: hahaha
